Seven independent, well-conducted scientific studies in the U.S., Canada, Germany, the Netherlands, South Africa, and Croatia since 2006 have found policosanol worthless at lowering cholesterol levels. Virtually all of the positive “evidence” for policosanol comes from a single Cuban research group which has a financial stake in the product. Even One-A-Day has given up on policosanol and switched to phytosterols!
